Hand Question

Postby FerretMom » Sat Jul 18, 2009 11:02 am

I have lymph. in the right arm/hand and for the most part it is under good control. The other night while cooking I noticed a slight steam burn on that hand at the base of the thumb. It is not a bad burn. I have been keeping it clean and keeping a gauze bandage on it with lightweight tape, trying not to be constrictive and let it breathe. Also using Neosporin on it. The skin is pink, there is a tiny amount of clear fluid and does not appear infected at this time.

I am aware that we are at higher risk on skin infections because of the lymph; and wonder if I am handling this the right way.

Thank you my friends.
